We use the ClearLight™
system to treat acne safely and swiftly without irritation,
photosensitivity or exposure to antibiotics. ClearLight™
will have a beneficial effect on approx. 85% of people with acne.
The light effectively clears over 60% of the acne lesions in just
one month, with no side effects, by destroying propionibacterium acnes
(p.acnes), the bacteria in the skin which most commonly causes acne.
The treatment is usually faster than standard therapy - up to 3 times
faster than standard topical or oral treatments. Rapid visible results
with minimum effort, applied in eight treatments over four weeks.

| How does the ClearLight™
system work? |

High intensity light penetrates the skin just
deeply enough to reach the p.acnes bacteria, targeting them safely
and effectively. The light triggers the proliferation of endogenic
porphyrins, which actually attack and destroy p.acnes bacteria within
the skin. This causes a rapid decrease in the p.acnes bacteria that
is unmatched by other treatments.

Traditional acne treatments have various side effects:
topical therapies often cause redness, irritation and/or skin peeling;
oral therapies may have even more side effects; both require at least
3 months of continuous treatment with conditions often worsening before
they improve.
ClearLight™ achieves over 60% clearing of inflammatory
lesions in up to one third the time of traditional methods and without
side effects.

| What does the treatment involve? |
The treatment is painless and involves
lying under a Clearlight™ machine for approximately
22 minutes per treatment. A course of treatment usually consists of
8 sessions over 4 weeks - though this may vary from individual to
individual. You may resume work/normal activities straight away -
there is no 'downtime'.
